Tana Oshima is a Japanese-Spanish self-taught visual artist living in NYC. Born in Kanagawa, Japan, she was first a writer in her mother tongue, Spanish, then started drawing and painting a few years back. But she never abandoned writing. Her first (experimental) novel will be coming out this year. She has self-published more than ten zines and translated contemporary female Japanese literature from Japanese (her other mother tongue) into Spanish. She teaches art to children to make ends meet. She has shown her works at WhiteBox, Amos Eno Gallery, Lorimoto Gallery and Space 766 in NYC; Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami, FL, and Hi Books&Gallery in Portland, OR.
