Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she received a BFA in Illustration from Northern Illinois University in 2005 and moved to Philadelphia—creating in various positions as a graphic designer and illustrator. In 2013, Alyssa and her woodworking partner, John Greiner moved to the Seacoast area, now living in the small town of Rollinsford, on the Maine border.
