Luis Manuel Morales Gámez is a 5th generation master potter from Tzintzuntzan, Michoacán. He is the son of Miguel Morales who trained him as a potter since he was a child. He studied painting and graphic design at the University of Michoacán. His Purépecha culture and natural environment have been the reasons for his work that reflect community life, fishing, fish, the lake, the market. His work has garnered international attention, and he is considered to be one of the best ceramic artists of his time.
